Mindfulness – This term is being tossed around a lot lately. But what exactly is it? And why is it important?
Mindfulness is an enhanced awareness of current experience or reality, and this skill can be learned, further developed, and measured. Research has shown that mindfulness is related to positive emotional states and decreased stress and mood disturbance (Brown & Ryan, 2003).
