What’s a reading psychologist?

It’s someone who studies the cognitive effects of people viewing fonts and words. Reading psychologists have discovered that obviously words with more letters take longer to read than words with fewer letters. Also, they’ve learned that reading on computer screens leads to more eye fatigue than reading text on paper, possibly due to variations in contrast and text size. read more »

One study has found that at least 1 in 5 NZ children experiences significant deprivation or neglect. And the effects of neglect can be as bad as the effects of outright abuse. read more »
